Shofar in the Street

The sounding of the Shofar is the central Mitzvah of Rosh Hashanah–a sacred call that awakens the soul, proclaims G-d's sovereignty, and heralds a sweet new year. Following the teaching and guidance of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbis bring the Shofar out into the public sphere so that every single Jewish person, regardless of background or affiliation, has the opportunity to hear its primordial call and fulfill this vital Mitzvah right where they are.

The Shofar service takes just about 5 minutes — a small investment of time with a powerful spiritual impact.
Our volunteer Rabbis will be happy to answer any questions you may have about Rosh Hashanah, the Shofar, or Judaism in general. Reading material will also be available to take home, so you can continue exploring and learning at your own pace.
